Penticton Trade & Convention Centre

Several of Merle's vineyard artworks can now be enjoyed by the thousands of guests engaged in events at the South Okanagan's largest event location, the Penticton Trade & Convention Centre. Open to the public Monday through Friday, this permanent installation at the PTCC includes two of his photo-based artworks featuring imagery from Naramata wineries.
Festival Favourite selected to join the prestigious "Vineyard Collection"

Fine art studio and publisher, Fidelis Art Prints is pleased to announce the signing of Oliver resident and photo-based artist Merle Somerville. "Festival of the Grape" favourite in both 2007 and 2008, Merle's work was honored as a "People's Choice '07" and by his peers and the "People" again in 2008. Fidelis will be adding six of his artworks to its 2008/09 release which will join eighteen other new works by artists such as Alex Fong, Robyn Lake and Lauren Schnarr.
Merle's unique "aged-sepia" technique offers a new artistic approach to the colours of the local landscape. His still life images are a reminder of the agricultural significance of the Okanagan and how fortunate we are to be living in such a bountiful region of this country. All Vineyard Collection artworks are printed using the giclée process and the finest in archival materials. Each artwork offers offers a wind range of product choice from affordable paper editions to truly collectable limited editions on canvas.
